So, that big race that was supposed to happen on Sunday and take up so much roadway? Welp, they cancelled it. Apparently the organizers were also worried cyclists were gonna get blown over. 🌬️ 🚴

Speaking of roadways, the route into Red Rock Canyon is about to get a whole lot less congested (well… in about a year). Construction on the Red Rock Legacy Trail will begin in 2025. The multi-use trail will move pedestrians and cyclists off of US-159. It’ll take a while to finish, but won’t it be nice when it’s done?

As for events that actually did take place last week, here’s a quick pictorial of the Lei Day Parade in Downtown Summerlin on Wednesday, if you’re interested in that. 🌺

Also, it’s a blessed May for teachers! You’ve had a school year of putting in the hard work, and now it’s time to reap your rewards. JW Marriott is offering free entry to its pool to all Clark County School District teachers for the month of May. All you have to do is put on your swimsuit and whip out that teacher I.D.
