There’ll be free ice cream (while supplies last), entertainment, and food trucks. If you vote at City Hall today, you also get an exclusive "I Voted" sticker featuring an iconic Las Vegas showgirl. We’ll call her Geena.

There are three towns named Turkey, or named after Turkey, in the United States.

Yup. As if turkey doesn’t get enough love each Thanksgiving, there are three places in the U.S. where "Turkey" is officially on the signpost, and they're all as unique as the bird itself.

Those official Turkey towns are:

Turkey, Texas: A small town in Hall County where folks have embraced their poultry-based identity. They even have an annual Turkey Fest, proving that Texas knows how to throw a bird-themed bash.

Turkey, North Carolina: Over in Sampson County, this Turkey takes a quieter approach, but the name still draws plenty of curious visitors, especially around Thanksgiving.

Turkey Creek, Louisiana: A village nestled in Evangeline Parish, Turkey Creek might sound more like a great spot for bird-watching, but it's an actual village with real people and a dash of small-town charm.

And if three official “Turkeys” aren't enough, there are plenty of smaller places in the U.S. - communities, unincorporated areas, or neighborhoods - that give a shoutout to our feathered friends. Anyway, these places may not all have a post office, but they've got that turkey spirit (and, presumably, more than a few wild turkeys wandering around). So if you're on the hunt for Turkey without the plane ticket to Istanbul, you're in luck - there's likely one within a day's drive if you're anywhere east of the Mississippi.
