Auditions take place Downtown at Notoriety on Fremont St, and are open to youth dancers and performers ages 10+.

TODAY’S HAPPY HOURS & EATS 🎅
It’s National Tequila Day, and if you're willing to drink from the well, you can hook yourself up with a margarita (or maybe even a paloma or tequila sunrise) a lot of places for cheap (or at least cheaper) at Happy Hour tonight.
As for specials, El Dorado Cantina is celebrating National Tequila Day with $5 Octavio Margaritas and $10 Don Julio 1942 shots all day, Chili’s is serving up their Tequila Trifecta - Casamigos Margs, Patrón Watermelon Margs and Teremana Blanco Skinny Margs - all day, and Hussong’s Cantina is serving Buy One, Get One Cuervo Tradicional Reposado shots all day.
But National Tequila Day isn’t the only celebration in town. It’s also Christmas in July at JING, as well as Ladies Night. All-lady tables get 50% off their full checks and complimentary photos with Santa. (Don’t fret, Gents, I’m sure you can get your pic with Santa too.)

Did You Know? 🛩️
Amelia Earhart wasn't just a pilot, she was also a fashion designer and a college career counselor.
While most people know Amelia Earhart as the trailblazing aviator who set numerous flying records and then vanished mysteriously over the Pacific Ocean, fewer know Earhart's talents and interests extended beyond the cockpit. And not just in a dabbling sort of way.
In the 1930s, Earhart launched her own line of women's clothing that was as practical as it was stylish. She incorporated her adventurous spirit into her designs, using materials like parachute silk and adding practical features like deep pockets and non-wrinkling fabrics. Her fashion line was featured in department stores like Macy's and Marshall Field's, and snapped up by women who wanted to emulate Earhart's daring style.
Away from the shop counter, Earhart was also an instructor at Purdue University, where she served as career counselor and advisor to female students. She was wooed there by Purdue President Edward Elliott, who was looking for someone who could inspire female students to complete their degrees and pursue their career goals. It was a hard offer for Earhart to resist, since she was given access to Purdue's airport, the only university airport at the time. Joining the university staff in 1935, Earhart inspired countless young women to pursue careers in science and engineering.
So, if you think Amelia Earhart's legacy is relegated to her mysterious disappearance, you're missing out on a whole lot of backstory. Not only did Earhart inspire countless students to pursue their ambitions, but the luggage she created as part of her fashion line was sold into the 1990s.
AROUND THE VALLEY (AND FRANCE) 🏹
Here are some things Around the Valley (and the Olympics!) we think might be of interest -
Get Your Olympics On 🏉
While the opening ceremony isn't until Friday, the Olympics unofficially kick off today. I say unofficially, but it's sort of official. I mean, events take place today and tomorrow and it's not like they don't count. Anyway, if you're into archery, soccer, handball, or rugby, you can start getting your Olympic fix before they even light the torch.
Is Vegas the Most Fun? 🥳
A while back, we talked about Las Vegas being second on the list of Nerdiest Cities in the U.S., and I called some serious shenanigans on that. For the record, I’m still not buying it.
But Vegas also made a recent list of the most Fun Cities in the country. In fact, it came in at #1. And I’m going to give a little more credence to this one. While Vegas’s “fun” comes in a lot of forms that aren’t exactly for me, there is no denying there is a LOT of stuff to do here. And I do love some stuff here - Springs Preserve, the Pinball Hall of Fame, the surrounding natural attractions. So, yeah, Vegas is pretty fun for me. How about you?
