Well, it’s Mom’s weekend, and, for our own sakes (and the sakes of our allowances), I don’t think we should pretend it’s anything else. (I did sneak in some events for everyone, but let’s keep that to ourselves.)

Unsurprisingly, this weekend’s restaurant specials are a real Mom-fest.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria in Boca Park wants you to treat Mom at home starting tonight. Their weekend specials include a Traditional Meal Bundle (16” or 18” pizza with salad and dessert) or a Chef’s Selection Meal Bundle (16” or 18” Chef Selection pizza with a charcuterie board and dessert. Many restaurants have special prix-fixe menus, or just special menu items, in honor of the holiday, while others have extended their brunch hours to accommodate moms on the busiest restaurant day of the year.

LOCAL EVENTS & LIVE MUSIC TO CHECK OUT (FEATURING MOM)

While there are a number of special events aimed at moms this weekend, there’s plenty for the rest of us to do too.

Like last weekend, if you’re free in an hour (from 2 pm), you can see a couple of movies for free tonight (one inside and one outside). But, don’t worry, if you’re not free in the next hour, you can still see one of them. (And if you haven’t seen Wonka yet, it’s super feel-goody.)
