🍝 Low-Key Happy Hours & Italian Restaurant Specials

No 100-degree temps this week!

TODAY’S WIND DOWN BROUGHT TO YOU WITH

Happy Monday Afternoon, Neighbor!

Well, I just almost spilled my coffee in my lap, but didn’t. I caught it with my thumb, and it spun around, sloshed out, but somehow didn’t fall. So, is this an ominous start to my week, since I almost spilled my coffee, or a glorious start to my week because I somehow didn’t spill my coffee? Time will tell.

At least the week’s forecast shows no days over 100 degrees!

In today’s Summerlin City Wind Down:

  • Today’s (Low-Key) Happy Hours 🍷

  • Did You Know? 🧐

  • Today’s Restaurant Specials 😋

TODAY’S (LOW-KEY) HAPPY HOURS 😎

Well, it’s Monday… again, so we’re keeping things low-key. In an effort to start the week fairly chill, we’re focusing on two Happy Hours where things tend to be empty and calm whenever we go there - Fleming’s and Trattoria Reggiano.

Of course, part of the calm may be the prices. Fleming’s is pricier than Trattoria Reggiano, but you won’t find anything for under $10 on either of these Happy Hour menus.

That said, both of their Happy Hours run until 6 pm, they both have good reasonably inexpensive red wine (though, Fleming’s isn’t part of their Happy Hour and is higher priced) and you can definitely fill up at either. Make it dinner, and the prices feel a little more reasonable.

Did You Know? 🌊

While the forests get the spotlight, it's actually the oceans that produce the majority of oxygen on Earth.

And, just like in the forests, it's all about the plant life, specifically the tireless work of phytoplankton, which produces oxygen as it photosynthesizes. Scientists estimate these microscopic ocean plants produce more than 50% of the Earth's oxygen.

But there is a catch. Not much of the oxygen produced by the oceans actually makes it to us land-dwellers. It's almost entirely consumed by the creatures who live in the sea, which is why we still honor the forests as our terrestrial lungs.
