We’re going to flash forward a bit today, because there are some things coming up later in the month that may be of interest to many of you.

But, first up, a quick flash forward to today’s events. If you’re interested in a Greeting Card Class, there’s one starting right now at Summerlin Library. Sorry for the late notice, but in our experience these classes don’t always fill up, so you may want to skip ahead to events and check it out. There’s a phone number on the library website to check the status of the class if you really want to get your greeting card on and can get over there in the next few minutes.

In later and foodie news, Honey Salt has a special dinner coming up on May 28th. It’s Amalfi Coast themed. So, if you’re the themed prix-fixe type, make sure you check it out in the restaurant specials below.

Also, in upcoming event news, if you’re a big fan of the Golden Knights, you might be into Cocktails With the Coach, a benefit event where you’ll be able to sip, gently nosh, and hang out with Knights head coach Bruce Cassidy and defenseman Zach Whitecloud.

In honor of the impending temperatures of summer (previewed this week), for today's Happy Hours we're featuring two places at the JW Marriott with outdoor seating that helps cool things down.

First up, at Hawthorn Grill, you can get some standard meal fare, including a Caesar salad or a burger (though there’s a split charge on that burger, which… come on).

Next, over at Jade Asian Kitchen & Noodles, you can score classic apps like spring rolls and pot stickers, along with sushi rolls at super reasonable prices. (No noodles, though 🧐)
