It’s Memorial Day, as you probably know, but also Nothing to Fear Day. There’s not much on in Summerlin tonight, so if you’ve been waiting to do that thing that gives you a little shiver (skydiving, starting your podcasting career, braving Red Rock with tourists) today might be that day. Just don’t decide to start cramming for Jeopardy, because the libraries are closed.

If you can remember all the way back to Friday, you might recall we ran our first poll. In it, we asked if you would prefer a poll on Fridays instead of a fact. The poll ended up tied. Half the respondents chose, “Yes, but make it super weird.” The other half chose, “No. Facts are the jam that make my daily bread taste delicious.” But only four people responded in total, which I guess tells us how popular polls are. So, for those two people who did want a weird poll every week, I sincerely apologize that polls didn’t fly and will try to be as weird as I can in all other areas.

In honor of Nothing to Fear Day, we’re highlighting some Happy Hours with what we think are weird things on their menus. Or, at least, things with weird names. These are things that might be super delicious (and probably are), but give us serious pause when we read them, that little instinct that says, “Do I really want to eat that?”

Today, it’s the battle of weird roll offerings.

First up, at Cheesecake Factory, they serve up Cheeseburger Spring Rolls.

In a similar move, over at Fine Company, they dish up Pastrami Melt Egg Rolls.

Now, normally, I am a big fan of food fusions, but I’m not gonna lie, those Cheeseburger Spring Rolls are giving me flashbacks to when my stepdad insisted on ordering cheeseburger pizzas when I was a kid.

Anyway, both of these rolls are probably absolutely tasty, but I won’t be finding out any time soon. But if you’ve had either of these food items and can offer up some tasting notes, please do chime in. (You can always reply to our newsletters!)

But, if you’re on their apps or want to download them, you can get a free or 1¢ burger tomorrow.

Arby’s is also having a burger deal, but, come now now, Arby’s… you know you’re a roast beef restaurant.
