SPECIAL ARTWORK THAT GIVES BACK

Transform your love into art with our personalized trees. Our custom artwork is perfect for weddings, anniversaries, engagements & more. But that’s not all! With each piece sold, we donate a portion of the proceeds to plant trees. So, your purchase doesn't just celebrate love, it gives back, contributing to the regrowth and preservation of our forests.

TODAY’S HAPPY HOURS & EATS 🍷

Is Happy Hour dinner? It really depends, right? The later a Happy Hour stretches into evening, or the earlier you eat, the more dinner-like it becomes. (Or if you just show up 15 to 20 minutes before Happy Hour ends and put your order in then, which is one of our favorite tricks).

But, when you indulge in a Happy Hour, is it typically for a drink/snack or a full-on meal? I’m curious. So, if you don’t mind sharing your Happy Hour proclivities, click your answer in the poll below.

How do you happy hour?

Did You Know? 🔵

Blue jelly beans didn’t exist until 1980 when they were specifically created for Ronald Reagan.

It all started back when Reagan was running for governor of California. To quit smoking pipes (just tobacco, I’m assuming…), he started noshing on jelly beans. The technique worked, and so did Reagan’s campaign, and the company who made the jelly beans - Herman Goelitz - started shipping a monthly supply of their scrumptious candy beans to the governor’s office.

Then, in 1976, Herman Goelitz launched its iconic Jelly Belly® brand and (for obvious reason) those became Reagan’s beans of choice.

Fast-forward to 1980. Reagan's presidential campaign was in full swing, and Jelly Belly wanted to do something special for their biggest fan. But what to do? There was only one real answer. What could be more patriotic than a red, white, and blue jelly bean assortment? Just one problem. Though Jelly Belly® already had red and white jelly beans (Very Cherry and Coconut, respectively), there was one patriotic color missing - blue!

Enter Jelly Belly's candy wizards and some serious candy alchemy. With the goal of completing the patriotic trifecta, they whipped up a brand-new flavor - blueberry. Once this tasty concoction was complete, Jelly Belly shipped three and a half tons of red, white, and blue jelly beans to Washington, D.C..

Blueberry Jelly Bellies were such a hit that they've stuck around ever since. And Reagan? He continued receiving his monthly shipments throughout his entire presidency.

Who knew presidential history could be so sweet?

AROUND THE VALLEY đź“Ť

Here are some things Around the Valley we think might be of interest -

Gettin’ Fat at Neonopolis *🥪

Like your sandwiches as fat as they come (aka borderline insane)? Well, you don’t have to scoot - and by scoot, I mean stress-drive through buttloads of traffic - to LA anymore to get some of the fattest sandwiches around. Fat Sal’s Deli has opened its first Vegas location at Neonopolis (450 Fremont St, Las Vegas), not far from the Heart Attack Grill. Because, honestly, where else would it be?

(*Sandwich emoji clearly not actual size)

Family-Friendly Vegas? 👩‍👧‍👦

Family vacations to Las Vegas are on the rise. Apparently. More and more people are bringing their kids to experience Vegas’s kid-friendlier attractions… as they are.

Now, while I have a feeling this entire article was sponsored by a certain museum (I won’t tell you which one. I won’t have to. It’s pretty obvious.), the numbers themselves are from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

So, just know that’s happening.

LOCAL EVENTS TO CHECK OUT 🎤

It’s a sing-or-run in Summerlin tonight, which would make an incredible marathon event. Just imagine it. Competitors would have to run for, like, two or three miles and then stop at a crossroads where they either continue to run another mile or sing a song to take a shortcut to the next running stretch.

Can you imagine them trying to catch their breath? The intense warbling? I’m gonna trademark it - Sing-Or-Run™.
