🌮 Cool Sculpture + So Many Events & Tacos!

And a crazy lizard fact 🦎

TODAY’S WIND DOWN BROUGHT TO YOU WITH

Happy Tuesday Afternoon, Neighbor!

They unveiled the “Mood Sculpture” in Downtown Summerlin on Saturday, and it is a colorful beaut. It’s in the Pavilion, and I can’t wait to get over there and check it out in person.

Also, if you want to do something special and outdoorsy with Mom this weekend, there’s a Mother’s Day Guided Walk on Friday at Red Rock Canyon that requires advanced registration. It’s at the Red Spring Boardwalk outside the Scenic Drive, so it’s free, but there are limited spots, so I wanted to give you a little pre-notice in case that’s up your Mom’s alley… or trail I suppose. You’ll find more information here.

TODAY’S HAPPY HOURS

Can you keep a secret? We don’t love every Happy Hour we go to. Sometimes we’re like, “Meh. That’s enough of that.” Hey, it happens. So, today we’re getting real with one Happy Hour that left us cold and one that we don’t have any desire to go to based on their offerings.

But we love to have our minds changed, so if you know something we don’t know about these Happy Hours, we’d love your input.

First up, we’ve got Public School 702, where we went one time and felt no need to go back. Loved the decor, vibe, and location, though, so if you can tell us what to order that will blow our minds, please do.

Then, we’ve got Ada’s, where we recently went for dinner, and I double-checked with the server that their full Happy Hour offering is their charcuterie board at ½ price and bottles of wine, and that is indeed the case. I mean, a price-cut is always nice, but I’m not sure bottles of wine and one food offering is enough Happy Hour for me, you know what I mean? And they have a HUGE drink menu, which makes it even more disappointing.

Anyway, these are just subjective opinions, and we think you should try every Happy Hour that piques your interest for yourself. So, here they are. Tell us what we’re missing by replying to this email.

Did You Know? 🦎

The western fence lizard has a third eye. And we're not talking in the spiritual sense here, we're talking an actual, physical third eye.

Located on the top of its head and covered by a transparent scale, this secret sun-tracker helps the fence lizard gauge the temperature and tell time by the sun's rays. So, the next time you see one hanging out on your fence or concrete wall, remember you're not just seeing a lizard, you've got eyes on one of the coolest sundials around.
