In Today’s Happy Hours, we have more news. La Strega Trattoria in Summerlin South is launching its Witching Hour today. 🥂 

Hit the Loggia Room from 4:00-5:30 pm for $10 cocktails, $8 glasses of Italian wine, a $6 Italian lager, and a limited selection of foodstuffs, including $6 Focaccia Bites and an $18 Butcher Board.

Wondering about the kismet of two back-to-back Happy Hour launches in Summerlin? It’s not entirely coincidence. Gina Marinelli is the Chef/Partner at both La Strega and Harlo, which explains the dual-launch.

Like at Harlo, the dress code at La Strega is business casual, but we’re assuming you can go a bit more casual at Happy Hour.

An adult dragonfly can eat hundreds of mosquitoes per day.

Taken on the back patio. Is it smiling? I think it is.

That’s right, dragonflies are the original sky-scraping, wing-flapping mosquito assassins of the natural world! With an appetite as big as a tourist’s at an all-you-can-eat Strip buffet, these dazzling daredevils can gulp down hundreds of pesky mosquitoes in 24 hours. So, if you spot one of these winged warriors patrolling your yard, give it a cheer (just avoid pats on the back), because they’re keeping the itchies at bay.

(Even if some people do think their faces look like they were beamed straight down from an alien planet!)

It’s Pizza Night in Boca Park! Apparently. In today’s restaurant specials, we’ve got two of our favorite pizza places from out of town.

Grimaldi’s has their usual Tuesday special with 50% off glasses and bottles of wine, including Sangria, while Giordano’s is offering 50% off their pizzas on Tuesdays through May 28th in honor of their 50th Anniversary. (It says to mention the email, so be sure to tell them you got the email from Giordano’s about the 50% off….it’s also a pop-up on their website)

So, it’s really just a matter of deciding where you’d rather grab a slice tonight - in New York or Chicago - and where you think you’ll save the most money, on the pizza or the wine.
