Are you a restaurant lunch person? If so, you probably already know that all the best restaurant deals that aren’t at Happy Hour are found at lunchtime. Some places, like BJ’S Brewhouse, for instance, have absolutely smashing lunch deals. And pretty tasty burgers for the price.

Another spot where you can score discounted food at lunchtime…ish is Lucille’s Smokehouse. Their Back Porch Bowls are $3 off until 4 pm. This makes Lucille’s one of the few places where their lunch discounts and Happy Hour overlap (from 3-4 pm). So, you know, keep that in mind when planning your afternoon outings.

BEYOND THE WEST SIDE EVENTS & HAPPENINGS 🧐

Somehow… somehow… there are still tickets left for the Golden Girls Murder Mystery (Immersive Play) at Hard Rock Cafe this weekend. You’ve got three chances to get homicidal with the girls. No word on whether Stan will show up, but chances look good.

Plus, the Unity on the Trail Black History Month Festival takes place at Craig Ranch Regional Park tomorrow!

Here are some things Around the Valley we think might be of interest -

Rock ‘n’ Roll, Y’all 🏃‍♂️

Runnin’ style.

If you’re not participating in the Rock ‘n’ Roll races this weekend, but you do plan to head Downtown tomorrow or Sunday, be ready for closures.

Tomorrow’s 5k will close Fremont St between 4th St and Maryland Pkwy, Carson Ave between Las Vegas Blvd and Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas Blvd down to Hoover, and Garces Ave between Las Vegas Blvd and 11th St.

Then, on Sunday, the races get longer, and the closures get more extreme. Sunday’s 10k and Half-Marathon will close Las Vegas Blvd from Carson Ave in the North to Sunset Rd in the South.

What can they say? You need a lot of miles for a half-marathon.

If you have a Venture X Capital One card, your travel perks just got a big ole upgrade at Harry Reid International. The Capital One lounge has opened at the airport, and Venture X holders get in free all the time.

If you don’t have a Venture X card, but you do have a Venture or Spark Miles card, the price is $45/visit, while everyone else can get in for $90/visit. Which sounds like a lot.

But depending on how much caviar and champagne (presumably) you can consume, it may still be a deal.
