HAPPY HOURS & EATS ⭐️🍔

We finally made it to Slater’s 50/50. I’ve been hankering to try their burgers for a while. I thought I knew what I was going to get, but they had this Golden Feast in honor of taking the gold for best burger in 2024 for $35, and I just had to do it.

And, y’all, I am happy to report that burger was perfectly cooked. The bacon… not so much. But I do recognize that not everyone is a crispy bacon person. Also, the White Truffle Mac & Cheese? Every bit as sinful as I hoped.

More importantly, when the bill came out, it was the price I expected, so that was nice. Read about our full experience here.

  • Slater’s 50/50

  • Summerlin North

  • Happy Hour 3-6 pm

  • Tip: If you’re feeling decadent, get them chili cheese fries

AROUND THE VALLEY 🌳◼️

Here are some things Around the Valley we think might be of interest -

Expand Your Canopy 🌳

Well, spring is here and summer’s on its way, and Clark County wisely thinks that an extra shade tree might make things more pleasant around your property.

In partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, the Clark County Department of Environment & Sustainability’s “Community Canopy Project” is giving away 2,300 in 2025. All residents are eligible for a free tree through May (or until they run out of trees), so if you want one, go get it while you can.

Going Dark for Good Reason ◼️

Want to see The Strip as you rarely see it? Then, you’ll want to be on it tomorrow at 8:30 pm. That’s when the lights go out… intentionally this time!

For a full hour, The Strip’s going dark for Earth Hour. From 8:30-9:30 pm, most Strip casinos will turn off all but their essential exterior lights. And things will look weeeeiiiiirrrd.
